Ocunox ointment 

OCUNOX® Eye Ointment is a preservative -free and phosphate-free formulation, designed to protect and moisturize the eye surface, especially during nighttime use. It contains Vitamin A (250 I.U/g retinol palmitate), a natural component of tears, which optimizes comfort and hydration. The ointment's preservative-free nature helps avoid unwanted complications such as intolerance or corneal deposits, as preservatives can damage eye surface cells, disrupt the natural tear film, and cause intolerance reactions. Additionally, the absence of phosphate buffers prevents the formation of insoluble crystals that could impair vision, which can occur when phosphates react with calcium released from damaged cells. OCUNOX® gently lubricates the eyes and prevents tear evaporation during sleep, compensating for the decreased nighttime tear production. Its formulation includes paraffin, liquid paraffin, wool fat, and white petrolatum, providing optimal nighttime protection and moisturization.
